Educational Programme 2019-2020

The first educational season at the Municipal Market of Kypseli, designed & curated by Impact Hub Athens was successfully completed.

Throughout the duration of this year, music lessons, workshops and themed seminars were offered to diverse individuals and groups aiming to strengthen knowledge and enhance skills development by encouraging learning through a handful of cutting edge technological & entrepreneurial tools In details, more than 230 students attended lessons by Caritas Hellas &Danish Refugee Council, and basic IT Skills & Programming Lessons by GFOSS, photography Lessons by Diadromes and Theatre workshops by George Triantafyllou.

Meanwhile, Impact Hub Athens created a great music ensemble, “Unison”, the rhythm of the Municipal Market of Kypseli, aiming to make music education accessible for all the children, youth and adults of Kypselis & the surrounding area. “Unison” is a team of children & youth from diverse backgrounds which discusses, interacts and tells its story through music for equality, solidarity & human rights. By utilizing music as an interface between cultures and with the methodology of community arts program as a starting point, 70 students attended the Music Lessons of the Agora while they also got the chance to mingle with esteemed international artists during tailored masterclasses. “Unison” fosters values such as collaboration, creativity, intercultural understanding and behaviour within a group.

The educational programme of the Municipal Market of Kypseli is additionally comprised by cross-themed activities inspired by STEAM methodology (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts & Mathematics). Seasonal camps for social impact have been also staged such as Easter Camp& SummerCamp.

During Summer Days, Municipal Market of Kypseli charges its batteries to welcome the new school season (2019-2020) with a rich educational programme which will start as of October. Themed programmes, children activities, music lessons and more will await students! And, just in case you are a teacher, tutor or parent.. Consulting & educational seminars and workshops will be also offered to equip you with valuable knowledge. .
